New Zealand Candidates Promoted The Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones, has announced that three members of the third draft of 10 candidates for service in the Royal Navy had been promoted by the Admiralty to the rank of temporary lieutenant, R.N.V.R., to date January 31. 1911 The Minister further stated that some of the officers had - been appointed to various ships of the Royal Navy, and others to instructional establishments for specialist courses.
