CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor.) Dear Mrs Peryman,— 1 would like to say, through the medium of your paper, how very much I appreciate the Dominion W.C.T.U. Library* and especially the present Librarian. Mrs Field. I don’t think we realise fully what a lot of time Mrs Field gives to this work, and I do wish to thunk her for recommending certain l>ook.s to real. Through her, iK&ve v been able to read many of Maud Hoyden's book.*., which have i**en a wonderful help I t the Christian life, especially "Life's I it tie Pitfalls,” etc.; also Dr. Grenfell’*. books, “What Christ Means to Me,’ et(., and Harold Begbie’s works, “Broken Earth ware,” and "Broken Lights,” and many others. Just recently there has l>een quite a lot in our papers about the union of our churches, and indeed it was a wonderful statement

by Archbishop Averil, “I am perfectly prepared to-morrow to cease to be an Anglican, and to become a humble meml»er of the real Catholic Church.” Evidently he realises, like Dr. Grenfell, what Christ means to him. If we have a perfect union with Him, we must have a perfect union with all who love and serve Him, whatever their creed, forsiit selfishness, bitterness, superiority, pom|i and ceremony does not exist in Him.. Thanking you once again for making it |K>ssible to have friends so wonderful through the medium of l>ooks, I remain, Y'ours sincerely, E. HOCKEY Champion Road, Richmond. May 27th, 1931.
