THE BANQUET.
U.B.A. CONVENTION. Perhaps nothing could better express tbe feelings of the delegates and visitors gathered on the last night for the Convention dinner, which was really a banquet, than the words of one of the pen songs composed by Helen L. Byrnes and Mrs Flora Kays Hanson, and sung on that occasion: We’ve been eonventioning, We’ve )>een eonventioning, Heigh-ho, we re much inspired. We’ve l>een eonventioning. We’ve had to early rise, To listen to the wise, Secured from them full many a plan New programmes to devise. We’ve followed Ella Boole, Tuned in on Ida 8., And listened to our DeYo dear, And Munns, the treasury. Then Sara H. broadcast Tbe journal of the day. Missouri Nellie stood up to tell Where we should wend our way. We love the Hoosier friends We love the Hoosier State; The way that Stanley marshalled them Is something to relate. They entertained so grand, Rare hospitality. With aeioplane and radio. And full publicity. And now we’re homeward hound, We’ve truly been inspired; Our bugs ure packed, the hills are paid. Oh, dear —but —we —are —tired!!!
