WORLD’S W.C.T.U.’s PRESIDENT.
My Dear Friends, — I .ate last night I heard the sad news that our dear Miss Gordon had been called Home. A prominent leader in Canada said to me last night, “How we shall miss her lo' »og messages." Anna Gordon never spared kind words, and she surrounded people with so many loving little actions and brought home to every one the realisation that White Ribltonera the world over must work together as one great sisterhood. Her ready appreciation of smull efforts caused many women to join our ranks. They realised the importance of little beginnings. Her wide vision of our work was so wise. What a wonderful succession we have had of World’s I‘residents: Miss Willard, Lidy Henry Somerset, the Countess of Carlisle, and Anna Gordon. How happy my intimate associations with each one of them has been, and all the time our World's I’nion has been growing in influence. Our new World’s President is following a succession of great women. We welcome Mrs Boole ns another great leader. Your loving comrade, AGNES O. SLACK.
