Vicar: Rev. Canon Hi Packe, "MIA. Assistant Priest : Rev. T. A. Cato.

The annual meeting of Holy Trin T ity Ladies' Guild was held lately m the Parish Hall. The Vicar presided over a good attendance. The report and balance-sheet, showing a very creditable state of affairs', was adopted. It was decided to adhere to Friday afternoons for the sewing meetings. It was resolved to hold a winter sale m the second week m July. The election of officers then took place, the following being elected: — President, Miss A. Booth; vicepresidents, Mesdames H. Packe, T. A. Crawford, McKinley, and Miss Brooke-Taylor; secretary, Mrs W. E. Goffe (re-elected). A special vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president, Mrs H. T. Jones, for her energetic work for the past few years m connection with the Guild. The Guild exists for the purpose of assisting financially with the parish work and Missions, and has done remarkable work m the past year. Fifty pounds was given to the Melanesian Mission, £5 to the Maori Mission, £50 to the Parish Church funds, and £10 to Rev. Long's links. Are there any ladies who would join this useful Guild? They would be gladly welcomed on a Friday afternoon. The Patronal Festival has passed with bright services, arid good attendances, though the collections for paying off the parish debt were very disappointing. When will our people learn to give freely, because it is God's, work? Will those who didn't give for this object on Trinity Sunday, kindly give to the Vicar, or churchwardens'? We have been greatly pleased to see the increasing numbers at the Girls' Club Corporate Communion once a month. The Girls' Club held a most successful dance, for the members and their friends one night recently, about 300 being present. This is a very real way of drawing the boys and girls of the church together m healthy recreation, and surely through these pleasures we can draw them to love our Lord. We would like to see a great mariy more girls at the Girls' Bible Class m the church on Tuesdays, at .7.30. p.m. The instruction is given by the Vicar, and those who attend sperid a very profitable half hour. A Bible Class for boys Oyer

14, and young men is held on (Sunday m bin nigs at 10. a.m. in* the schoolroom.
