Vicar: Rev. H, T. Rawnsley, Th.L. The annual meeting of parishioners of St. George's, Church, .Patutahi, was held on Thursday evening, there being a fair attendance. The Vicar, the Rev. H. T. Rawnsley, presided, . and expressed the thanks of the vestry to all the church workers, a,nd for himself . particularly thanked the settlers m the furthermost- portions of the parish for their unfailing hospitality on all occasions. He-ac-knowledged gratefully the assistance of the Yen. Archdeacon Williams and the Rev. E; Ward whenever occasion arose. The past year had, he'' said," been one -of quiet progress. The balance-sheet revealed a very satisfactory financial- position, inspite of the money stringency. .'..-"-' The Vicar appointed Mr R. K. Murphy his churchwarden, and Mr R; Sherratt was appointed people's warden, and also Synodsman. • - : : - „ The election of the vestry resulted as follows: Messrs D. Wilmot,- C 7 Bilham, 0. Thody, H. Briahtj J. J. East, and H. C. -Hawke. Mr C. P. Davies was appointed auditor. Special votes of thanks were accorded to Mrs R. Sherratt arid Mr J. B. accounts and the services of the organist, Sunday school teachers, arid all church workers were ''acknowledged gratefully.

A vote of thanks was accorded to Miss E. Herbert for her help m the. Sunday school. It was decided to hold a social evening on June 2nd and the Annual Fete about the first week m December.
