The attendance at the annual meeting- of parishioners was a good deal better than we have had for some years past. The wardens- presented a satisfactory report and balance-sheet, both of which were adopted. The Vicar appointed Mr W. Taylor as his warden, Mr G. C. Fleteher was elected people's warden and Synodsman, while the following were elected vestrymen: — Messrs W. Adsett, H. W. Brown, A. Deighton, J. Ellisdon, H. Prebble, J. PrebMe and G. Nolan. A resolution . was passed urging the incoming vestry to proceed with the erection of the new church this year if possible. The building fund for the new church stands at the satisfactory amount of £1340. After the business of the annual meeting, supper, provided by the Wives of the vestry, was handed round, arid songs were sung by Mrs Mines and Miss Bainbridge, and Messrs Adsett, Deighton and Fletcher, and a very happy social evening was spent.

The Mothers' Union held their annual meeting last month. After service m the church, where the Vicar, gave an address, the members met m the Schoolroom and the president read her report on the year's work. The following officers were elected : — President, Mrs Watson ; secretary and treasurer, Mrs Fletcher; and the following committee: Mrs Sargisson, Mrs Ayre, MJrs Deighton, Mrs Adsett, Mrs -Miries. The first regular meeting was held on the first Tuesday of the month. After service m the church a very nice musical . afternoon was held, which was enjoyed by all present.
