Waipukurau.

Vicar: Rev. A. W. Stace. Easter services at Waipukurau were well attended. A record number of Communicants were present at the celebrations and the services of the Festival were much helped by the choir under the able leadership of Mrs Basham. As a general wish was expressed to have an Eas-ter-Service at the Sanatorium Colonel Short very kindly motored the Vicar to and from the institution, thus enabling the patients to participate in the sacred commemoration of the day. A bright and helpful service was held also on Easter afternoon at Hatuma. . On the following Sunday Harvest Thanksgiving Services were held at St. Mary's. Canon Butterfield, of Waipawa, exchanged with the Vicar for the evening, and preached an appropriate sermon/ A Gift Afternoon in connection with St. Mary's Home was held at the Vicarage towards the end of March. The Waipukurau Town Band kindly gave their services. Tile Ladies' Guild took' charge of the afternoon tea. Deaconess Esther Brand, who was present, gave a most helpful address and a very pleasant afternoon was spent. The effort was a great success in every way. pn Sunday, April 17th, a Children's Apple Service was held, St. Mary's being well filled with young people. : The apples offered numbered
