Missing Friends.
Information is requested respecting Albert Dimack, an Englishman, a laborer, about 36 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build, fair hair, small fair whiskers, wore cord trousers and vest, and old black coat. He was last seen on the 23rd ultimo sitting on the new bridge at Greytown, East Taieri, since which time no trace of him can be found ; and as he was then in a desponding state of mind it is feared that he may have drowned himself in the Taieri river (Vide Police Gazette 1875, pages 14, 23, and 24.) John Quin, the absconding witness in the case of Pegina v. Harry Pearce, stealing from the person, has been arrested by Sergeant Hunt, Arrow police, and committed to Dunedin gaol. (Vide Police Gazette 1875, page 24.) John Pell has been found at Christchurch.
