Property Found.
An owner is required, by the Dunedin police, for a silver lever hunting watch, No. 33794, maker Parkins, Beid, and Co., London, jewelled in one hole, second hands wanting, appears to have been three or four years in use. This watch was pawned on the 24th ultimo, at Solomon’s Pawn office, George street, Dunedin, in the name of a Mr. Nott, and the pawn ticket was found in the possession of the old offender Percy Benn, when arrested at Dunedin on the 27th ultimo for vagrancy. The watch was likely stolen at one of the recent race meetings in this or one of the adjoining provinces..
An owner is required by the Dunedin police for a lady’s gold chain, which was found by Thomas Walsh at the Octagon, Dunedin, on the Ist instant.
An owner is required by the Dunedin police for one calico and two twill pillow cases, two roller towels and a twill sheet, all newly washed and rough dried, which were left by Henry Dixon, alias Bed Harry, early on the 23rd ultimo, at the residence of Thomas Newman, Kensington, near Dunedin, which it is supposed were stolen from a clothes line.
