On Sunday, May 17, the blessing and laying of the foundation stone of the new school for the Alarist Brothers will take place at 3 p.m. The ceremony will be performed by his Lordship the Bishop. Rev. lather Creagh, C.SS.B., is paying a visit to Christchurch on his way to Dunedin, He will afterwards proceed to Ireland where ho is to be attached to one of the Houses of the Order there. May 9. Rev. Father D. Healy, of the Cathedral, has been appointed parish priest of Ross, taking the place of the late Father Riordan! His Lordship Dr, Cleary, Bishop of Auckland, is spending a few days in Christchurch, after attending the jubilee celebrations in connection with Holy Cross College.
