' Typewriting Examinations. At the recent typewriting examinations held. ■: by, the National Business College, Sydney, at St. i Joseph's Convent, Paeroa, all the pupils .passed : with honors. This is very gratifying,', both to students and .teachers, 1 who must be congratulated on ; the high percentage/of marks gained. The following is an extract from the report received from the principal of the college: —'-, ; -'~ .' I am pleased to state that all your pupils; were successful. They have certainly done splendidly, which proves you are doing excellent work in your commercial department.' ' j : The names of the candidates are—Senior advanced— F. Roberts, 94 (honors). IntermediateMary KLerwan, 97 (honors) ; Katherine Morgan,. 96 (honors). —Lizzie Goiss, 98 (honors). Speed —Mary Kerwan, 46 words per minute Catherine Morgan, 40 words per minute : Lizzie Goiss, 40 words per minute; Theory of Music. The results of the examination in theory of musis in connection with Trinity College, London, held an the convent during the year were also very satisfactory. All the candidates were successful. The following are the names: —Intermediate grade—Eileen Houlihan. Advanced junior Lois Vincent, Rita -Ellis, Erico Swinburne and Dorothy Miller. Junior grade—Tracy Moresby (honors). - •
