SPECIAL NOTICES.
Christchurch. During the night of the 21st ultimo the premises of HAMMOND AND CO., oil and colour merchants, 200 Manchester Street, were broken into, and an attempt made to open the safe by means of explosives. Any information regarding the offence is to be communicated to the Inspector of Police, Christchurch.
Christchurch. —On the Ist ultimo some person or persons unknown broke into a shed, the property of the Lyttelton Times Company, and destroyed two barrels of printing-ink ; value, £SO. If any information is obtained regarding the offence a communication is to be sent to the Inspector of Police, Christchurch.
