SPECIAL INQUIRY.

Murder. Opotiki. —Paul Zambucka murdered: Peeti Topi and Rutene Topi have been arrested for the offence by the Gisborne police. Deceased was in possession at the time of his death of a cheque for £2 Os. Bd., drawn on the Bank of New Zealand by the Native Land Board, Rotorua, in favour of Te Owai Wirepa, and signed by T. Anaru ; and a cheque for £3 10s. 9d., drawn on the Bank of New Zealand by the Native Land Board, Rotorua, in favour of H. Tawhai, and signed by T. Anaru.
