INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney. —A warrant has been issued by the Central Police Bench for the arrest of Peter Montserrat, alias Monserrat, charged with failing to appear at the Central Criminal Court on the sth instant to plead to indictments of administering poison to Peter Montserrat or Monserrat — (1) with intent to murder; (2) with intent to endanger his life at Sydney on the 12th February, 1918. Offender is twenty-five years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, thin build, sallow complexion, dark hair, clean-shaved; a Spaniard; and recently resided at 12 Oastlereagh Street, Sydney. Identical with offender same name, referred to in New South Wales Police Gazette , 1918, page 136. If located, a communication is to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Wellington.
