INQUIRIES, ETC., FROM OUTSIDE NEW ZEALAND.
Sydney (New South Wales).— 4th instant. A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Henry John Thomas, charged that being a servaut of the Commonwealth Military Forces he did embezzle the sum of about £B7l. Description: Age thirty-four, height 5 ft. 7J in., clerk, native of Australia, medium build, fresh complexion, black hair, blue eyes. Holds the world’s record for clubswinging, and competes under the name Harry Lawson. May be accompanied by his wife, Mabel Thomas. He was a sergeant in the Military Forces, and deserted from Liverpool Camp on the 10th June last. He may be employed on coastal vessels. His arrest is desired. (P. 16/1331.)
