Auckland. —Dr. W. H. PARKES’S dwelling broken into : The ladies’ 18 ct. gold lever bunting-watch with “ M.E. R." engraved on it is No. 42827, and the 10 ct. gold hunting lever is No. 12846422. Freeman’s Bay (Auckland). —12th instant, from the dwelling of HERBERT ARTHUR BOYES, Napier Street, a gentlemen’s silver watoh-chain, long-link pattern, with rmrnd gold-mounted serpentine stone pendant attached, value £1 ss. ; a large boar’s-tusk brooch, gold-mounted at each end, about 5 in. long, value £1 10s. ; three 9ct. gold mountings off a braid watch-guard, one a shield-shape with “ H. A. B.” thereon, value £1 55.; a gold and enamel oval locket, with photo of an old lady and gentleman inside, value 10s. Identifiable.

Dyer ” engraved on inside of case, value £2 10s. ; a rolled-gold muff-chain, about 6 ft. long, has been broken in two on three places and mended with white cotton; a gold brooch, oval-shaped bar with heart in centre, ivy-leaf on top of heart, value 10s. 6d.; identifiable : and £1 6s. in cash. Te Awamutu. —Between 24th ultimo and 15th instant, from the Te Awamutu Hotel, the property of EDMUND ARTHUR COX, solicitor, a silver-mounted oval-shaped whisky-flask, with silver cup attached, black-morocco leather round the flask ; value, £2. Identifiable.

Napier. —About 18th March last, from the dwelling of CHARLES CARLIEN, labourer, Pohui, a double gold watoh-chain, long links with four small links between,

value £5 ss. Identifiable. Suspicion attached to Charles Lund, age about thirty-four, height 5 ft. 5 in., labourer, medium build, dark complexion, brown hair worn overforehead, clean-shaved ; dressed in dark suit.

Palmerston North. —3rd instant, from the pocket of GEORGE BRADY, dairy assistant, Bunnythorpe, a cheque for £6 14s. 3d. Suspicion attached to Man (name unknown), age about twenty-six, height 5 ft. 7in., labourer or flax-mill hand, cl6an-shaved, black hair, sharp nose, medium build ; dressed in navy-blue coat. Identification doubtful. Suspect cashed the cheque at the Terrace End Hotel.

Levin. —3rd instant, from tue racecourse, the property of ROBERT HAY, engineer, a gentlemen’s black-enamelled bicycle, celluloid mud-guards, Dunlop covers and tubes, straight handle-bars, leather toe-clips; value, £6. Identifiable.

Wellington.—Between the 2nd and sth instant, from the bedroom of ZOE STALLARD, housemaid, Barrett’s Hotel, a ladies’ 9ct. gold-ring, set with five garnets in claw setting; a gold padlock, chased on one side ; a gold locket, cross on one side; a ladies’ 9 ct. gold ring, set with three large rubies and two diamond chips; a ladies’ plain 18 ct. gold dress ring, originally set with three stones which are now missing ; a ladies’ 18 ct. gold curb bangle ; a ladies’ 9 ct. gold-mounted bamboo bangle, fastener broken ; a gold-wire brooch, name “ Zoe ” ; a greenstone shamrock, edged with gold: total value, about £ll 10s. Wellington. —Between the 3rd and 24th May last, from Scott’s pie-shop, Manners Street, the property of GERTIE HILL, a ladies’ gold half-hunting watch, “ To Gertie, from her Father, July 20th, 1906,” engraved on it, value £5 ; a gold heart-shaped wire-worked pendant, set with rubies and pearls, value £3 3s.

Christchurch. —28th ultimo, from the Christchurch Rail-way-station, the property of GEORGE PARKER, railway surfaceman, a double-barrelled breech-loading hammerless gun, top action, Edward Jem maker, pistol grip, stock has been strained and repaired with two screws ; value, £lO. Identifiable.
