APPREHENSIONS, PERSONS FOUND, ETC.

Auckland.— Frederick James Symons, alias James, alias Thompson, theft, has been arrested by Sergeant Kowell, Auckland police, on another charge of theft, and the warrant for prior offence executed by Acting-Detective J. H. Sweeney, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 57.)

Auckland. — Joel Stanilaus France, disobeying main tenance order, has been arrested by Constable J. Horan, Whangarei police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette 1910, page 225.)

Auckland. — Will H. Matthews, rogue and vagabond, has been arrested by Detective Hollis and Acting-Detective J. Powell, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 203.)

Auckland.— William Patrick Brophy, alias McBride, theft, has been arrested by Constable J. Shearman, Ellerslie police, on another charge of theft. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 213.)

Auckland. William Henry Noss, alias Ross, charged with forgery at Auckland in May, 1901, was committed for trial at Brisbane on 27th May last for false pretences. He has also served a sentence in New South Wales for falsa pretences. The complainant at Auckland will not guarantee the extradition-expenses of the offender to New Zealand. •Dargaville.— John Petley, false pretences, has been arrested by Constable H. Cox, Rawene police, and remanded. (See Police Gazette, 1910. page 167.)

-Napier. Alfred Masters, disobeying maintenance order, has been arrested at Hastings by Constable J. Heffernan, Waipukurau police, and lodged in Napier Prison. (See Police gazette, 1910, page 68.)

Napier. — Walter Henry Lowell has been found by 3onstable J. W. Robinson at the People’s Palace, Auckland. See Police Gazette, 1910, page 247.)

Palmerston North.— Anthony Cavendish, false pretences, has been arrested by Detective Hollis, Auckland police, on information supplied by Detective Quirke, Palmerston North police. (See Police Gazette, 1909, page 130.)

Levin.— Charles Valentine Rear, absconding from industrial school, has been arrested by Sergeant W. Ramsay, Auckland police, and returned to the school. (See Police Gazette , 1910, page 159.)

Pahiatua. — Thomas Aitken, false pretences, has been arrested by Detective Cox and Acting-Detective Sweeney, Auckland police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 253.)

— Edward Henry Power, disobeying order, has been arrested by Constable P. Doyle, Mount Cook police : Order cancelled, and arrears remitted. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 214.)

Mount Cook (Wellington).— Rita Dorothy Madge Paton, disobeying order, has been arrested by Constable J. Bagrie, Levin police, and lodged in Wellington Prison. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 204.)

Westport.—George Broughton, default of fine, has been arrested by Detective J. Cassells, Wellington police. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 235.) Offender is identical with George Broughton. (See Police Gazette, 1907, page 222.)

/Uwaka.— John Jacobson has written to his mother: No further inquiry necessary. (See Police Gazette, 1910> page 237.)
