✓/^Wellington. — The oil-painting “Southward from Surrey’s Pleasant Hills,” stolen from the NEW ZEALAND ACADEMY OP FINE ARTS, Wellington, has been recovered, and Francis Edwin Tier and Michael Tier arrested for the offenoe by Detectives W. E. Lewis and A. E. Andrews, Wellington police, and committed for trial. (See Police Gazette , 1910, page 146.) Wellington South. —WILLIAM MCCARTHY’S horse has been found: not stolen. (See Police Gazette, 1910, page 255.) Christchurch. —HUGH McGLOIN’S bicycle has been found : not stolen. (See Police Gazette , 1910, page 215.) Kaiapoi. GEORGE FORREST’S bicycle has been found.
