Minnie E. Newland is inquired for by the Huntsrville police at the instance of her husband. Description : Thirtynine years of age, 5 ft. high, slight build, blue eyes, darkbrown hair, upper teeth project. She left her home at Hunterviile on the 4th June last, taking her boy, eighteen months old, with her, and was then about five months enciente. Before leaving she drew £3OO from the Bank of New Zealand, and is supposed to have gone to Christchurch with a man named W. G. Cains, about twentyseven years of age, about sft. Gin. high, dark complexion, small dark moustache, high cheek-bones. She may take her maiden name of Wells.

Jane Alley is inquired for by the Wellington police at the instance of Adjutant Spargo, of the Salvation Army. Decription : A native of New Zealand, twenty-two years of age, about 5 ft. 5 in. high, slight build, pale complexion, auburn hair ; is poorly dressed in light-coloured blouse, lightstriped skirt, and black belt. On the 17th instant she left the Maternity Home and took her child, about a month old, with her. She had no money, and will probably try to make her way to Woodville, as she came from there to Wellington about six weeks ago.

William Kennedy is inquired for by the Dunedin police with a view of proceedings being taken against him for the support of his son, eleven years of age, left destitute with Mrs. Stevens, St. Andrew Street, Dunedin. Description: A native of Scotland, labourer, about fifty-seven years of age, about 5 ft. 11 in. high, fresh complexion, medium build, full beard whiskers and moustache turning grey. Was last heard of at Dunedin in 1900.

George Berry Ellis is inquired for by the Christchurch police at the instance of his wife. Description : A native of England, a butcher, forty-six years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, medium build, fair complexion, dark-brown hair, cleanshaved except sandy moustache ; dressed in fawn-coloured plaid suit, grey soft hat, and a blue-striped shirt. He was last seen in Manchester Street, Christchurch, on the 23rd ultimo; he was in ill-health and despondent, and it is feared he may have committed suicide.

Thomas McCoy is inquired for by the Palmerston North police at the instance of his wife. Description: A native of Ireland, labourer, sixty-four years of age, 5 ft. sJin. high, thin build, white whiskers, excitable manner. He left his home on the 17th ultimo, and wrote to his wife from Penrose, Auckland, on the 25th ultimo, stating that he left her any property or money he was entitled to.

Pender. police concerning the whereabouts of Charles Edward Pender, formerly clerk to Messrs. Webster and Son, Hobart. Description: A native of Tasmania, a clerk and dealer, forty years of age, 5 ft. 8J in. high, dark complexion, black curly hair, brown eyes, several moles on right cheek.
