Auckland.— Frederick Huxtable is charged on warrant of commitment to Auckland Prison for three months, in default of paying £5 10s. arrears due to the 3rd September, 1901, for the maintenance of his wife. Description : Supposed colonial, canvassing agent, forty-six years of age, 5 ft. Gin. high, blue eyes, bronzed complexion, dark-brown hair whiskers and moustache, medium build ; dressed in light-coloured grey-tweed suit and black hard-felt hat.

Description : A native of New Zealand, grocer’s traveller, twenty-one years of age, about 5 ft. 5 in. high, medium build, dark complexion, black straight hair, dark-brown eyes, clean-shaved, one front tooth out; is usually dressed in cycling or black sac-suit, with black hard-felt hat, wears a black silk watch-chain with gold medal, with bicycle engraved on it attached. He left by the s.s. “ Talune ” on the 12th October last for Sydney. Complainant, Christina Luxton, Christchurch.

Christchurch. — Theodore Harewood is charged on warrant of commitment to Lyttelton Gaol for one month for disobeying an order of Court to pay 2s. 6d. a week towards the support of his mother. Description : A native of New Zealand, quarter-caste Maori, a farm labourer and ploughman, twenty-two years of age, 5 ft. s£in. high, dark complexion, dark hair and eyes, dark moustache only; medium build, broad shoulders; dressed in dark coat and vest, dark bell-bottomed trousers, black soft-felt hat. Description : A native of New Zealand, a butcher, thirty-four years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, medium build, florid complexion, full brown eyes, very dark-brown curly hair, brown moustache only, large teeth, short neck ; fond of drink, and quarrelsome when drinking ; dressed in dark-blue vicuna suit and grey Dr. Jim hat. He deserted his wife about five months ago, and is supposed to have gone to Melbourne, where he is said to have a brother, James Leckie, a bookmaker.
