£SO Reward and Free Pardon.
Whereas during the night of the 31st ultimo some person or persons unknown unlawfully broke into the Railwaystation at Jjittle River, Canterbury, and stole then from money and stamps to the value of about £76, the property of
the New Zealand Government: This is to notify that His Excellency the Governor will grant a free pardon to any accomplice in the said offence who will give such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction of any one or more of the other offenders; and that a reward of £SO will be paid by the Government of New Zealand to any person who shall first give such information to any police officer in the colony.
