Charles McAdam escaped from the Seacliff Asylum on the 2nd Instant. Description: A native of Scotland, a rabbiter, forty-three years of age, 5 ft. 4 in. high, medium build, ruddy complexion, dark hair, reddish beard, whiskers, .and moustache ; dressed in dark-tweed suit with triangle brand, patch on trousers, tweed hat, blucher boots. Was committed from Invercargill on the 28th September, 1898.
