Murder.
Dunedin. —On the Ist instant the dead body of a newborn male child was found in Heriot Row. It was wrapped in flannel, part of an old blanket, and brown paper, and tied round with white tape. At the inquest the jury retnrned a verdict of “ Death from violence, caused by some person or persons unknown.” The medical evidence went to show that the child was born alive, and died from sullooation, the result of violence.
