Milparinka. —A warrant has been issued by the Milparinka Bench for the arrest of William Fowler Chapman, charged with uttering a forged cheque for £7 10s. on the Bank of Australasia, Broken Hill, to Robert Kelly, at Milparinka, on the 7th ultimo. Offender is forty to forty-five years of age, sft. sin. or 6in. high, stoutish build, dark complexion, very dark brown hair tinged with grey, long darkbrown moustache only, sharp features, prominent nose, sharp at point; often suffers from rheumatism, and sometimes walks lame; generally wears blue-serge sac-coat,-and grey-tweed trousers too long, and tucked up at bottom ; fond of calling himself a “8.A.” of Cambridge University, and Oxford scholar ; has a deliberate manner when speaking ; was employed as secretary to gold-mining syndicate. May go to New Zealand, Adelaide, or Western Australia.
