Auckland. —James Henry Moore Carpenter, coal- and firewood-dealer, Remuera, reports that, during the night of the 19th ultimo, his office was broken into, the safe burst open by a charge of dynamite, and £lO in gold, silver, and coppers stolen.

Auckland. William and John Peet, grocers, Karangahape Road, report that, between the 14th and 16th ultimo, their shop was broken into, and the following stolen : About 31b. Derby and Venus tobacco, and between 401 b. and 501 b. of Gilmore Younghusband’s brands of tea, in lib. and Jib. packages ; total value, £6 16s.

Auckland. —George Fowlds, draper, Queen Street, reports stolen from his shop, on the 18th ultimo, a new tan-coloured Gladstone bag, 22in. long, nickel clips ; value, £2 ss. Identifiable by private marks on straps.

Auckland. Charles George Hutchinson, Commerce Street, reports that, on the 14th or 15th ultimo, his gumstore was broken into, and the following stolen : A small American six-chambered revolver, a black mackintosh coat, and a pair of hand-sewn lace-up boots ; value, £3.

Paeroa. —Edwin Williams reports stolen from his coat, on the 16th ultimo, a silver hunting Waltham watch, No. 5292422 ; value, £4.

White ”; value, about £2.

Otautau. Frederick W. Hoddinott, school - teacher, Wairio, reports stolen, between the 15th and 16th August last, a horse-cover, lined with white felt, double holes for tail-strap, copper rivets on belly-strap, one rivet on off side, near which is a piece of porpoise-leather, and two rivets on near side ; value, 15s.
