Auckland. —Edward Otway is charged on warrant with having, on the 27th ultimo, forged and uttered to Thomas Quoi a cheque for £25, purporting to be signed by Dr. Laishley, solicitor. Description : Supposed colonial, twentysix years of age, sft. Gin. high, medium build, clean-shaved, dark complexion, dark hair, smart appearance, generally dressed in dark clothes and black hard-felt hat.

Auckland. —John Grant, alias Charles Innis Petrie, is charged with disobeying the terms of his release under the First Offenders’ Probation Act. Description: A native of Scotland, a labourer, thirty-four years of age, sft. BJin. high,

fair complexion, light-brown hair, brown eyes, long nose (see Police Gazette, 1894, page 151). Offender left the employ of Mr. Burnett, of YValton, Te Aroha district, on the 11th February last.

Description : English, thirty-five years of age, sft. lOin. high, medium build, fresh complexion, brown hair beard whiskers and moustache, brown eyes; is of independent means. Supposed to have gone to Melbourne, via Wellington.
