Escaped Prisoner.

Wellington. — Re Joseph Mason Foggan, charged with escaping from Mount Cook Prison: Offender shaved clean after his escape, and was dressed in a dark sac coat, faded green, light-tweed trousers, with a stripe of a different colour about Jin. wide running through the material, and a pair of gutta-percha sand shoes, all well worn. He expressed his intention of making for Auckland to join a Mrs. Nelson there. A man answering his description is reported to have called at the house of Mr. Robert Blair, Pahiatua, on the 19th instant, and left in the direction of Woodville.
