Warkworth (Auckland). —Captain John Whitney, Waiwera, reports stolen from the Puhoi River-bank, between the Ist February last and the 7th ultimo, four pigs of lead, each weighing 501 b., and about 12in. by 4in. by B£in.; value, £2 Bs.

Auckland. —John Frank, hairdresser, Ponsonby Road, reports that during the night of the 9th instant his shop was broken into, and a razor, value 7s. 6d., and about eight pounds’ worth of cigars, cigarettes, and tobacco, stolen.

Stratford. —Adolf Ahlfeld, of Ahlfeld Brothers and Co., Dunedin, reports stolen from a case at the Eltham Railwaystation, on the 29th or 30th ultimo, the following sample articles: Two cases, each containing three dozen gold-plated paste-diamond rings, marked 18k.; a case containing twelve wedding- and six keeper-rings, 9-carat gold; a plush photo-graph-album, light-grey colour, “ Album ” embossed on top ; five gentlemen’s silver albert guards, different patterns, German make; a ladies’ green-snakeskin purse, 6in. by 2in., scale-marked; a ladies’ crocodile-skin ditto, sin. by 2in.; six ladies’ leather purses, long patterns ; about twelve purses, common patterns ; a nickel alarm-clock, round, slightly dented on back of ring, inside of nickel is gilt (identifiable) ; a calendar alarm-clock, showing days of month ; an aneroid barometer, the size of an ordinary nickel clock, glass cracked from top to bottom (identifiable); five bottles of “ Crown Diamond Tan-boot Renovator ” ; three Turkey sponges ; one dozen automatic ink-pencils ; two sets of shoe-brushes ; a plush-covered album, castle, knight, and swan embossed on front; three dozen steel key-rings, on cards; a No. 3 hair-clipper, Brown and Sharp’s; six notebooks, one very long, and covered with dark-maroon paper; a roll of cutlery, consisting of odd table- and dessert-knives, and knives and forks, cover about 24in. by 15in., and made of black leather, with blue-cloth lining (identifiable) ; a roll, containing a sample each of best electro-plated table, dessert, and teaspoons and forks, all marked “ Potosi, B. 2, E. 8.,” and a sample each of same things by Ashberry, all somewhat scratched; some mouth-organs, “M. Hohner ” maker of two or three ; six boxes of pens, some Perry’s; a copy of “ Bright Eyes ” (a child’s illustrated prize-book); four kitchen strainers, bottoms of fine-wire gauze ; three chatelaines, steel, consisting of ring, short chain, and clasp for scissors, quite new in the colony : value, about £25.

Wellington. George Cochrane, crockery dealer, Cuba Street, reports stolen from his shop-door, about the 21st ultimo, a German-made barometer, medium size; value, £1 10s.

Christchurch. —John Brown Lee, Styx, reports stolen from an outhouse, about the 27th ultimo, an old doublebarrelled muzzle-loading gun, maker supposed Greenfield; value, £2.

James Peacock, Argyle Street, Sydenham, reports that on the Ist or 2nd instant his shop was broken into, and the following stolen : About twelve pairs of ladies’ and children’s goat shoes ; about ten pairs of ladies’ boots, calf and split; five pairs of men’s bluchers and watertights ; and about twelve pairs of youths’ and girls’ assorted kid ; all branded S.B. in a diamond: value, £l6. Dunedin. —George Watson reports stolen from his clothing at the Carisbrook Grounds, on the 31st ultimo, a Waterbury watch, silver chain, and small gold locket; value, £1 10s. Identifiable.

Dunedin. —JohnOgg, hotelkeeker, South Dunedin, reports stolen from a washhouse, on the 27th or 28th ultimo, a double calico sheet, two single sheets, four boys’ pink underflannels, with white edging round necks; a white table-cloth, diamond pattern; a white tray-cloth, with pink border; three boys’ shirts, two blue and white, the other grey; two white muslin pinafores, two pairs of children’s drawers, and four plain white pillow-slips: value, £3.

Greymouth. —Peter Cullen reports stolen from the rail-way-station, on the 25th ultimo, a swag consisting of a pair of dark-tweed trousers, two white-flannel shirts, a soft brownfelt hat, a black pilot-cloth overcoat with black-velvet collar, and two single grey blankets; value, £3.

Havelock (Marlborough). The Empire City Goldmining Company report stolen from their battery-house at Wakamarina, between the Ist and 4th instant, a bench-vice, carpenters’ square, saws, bits, and other tools; value, £5.
