Marton. —William Butterworth is charged on warrant with having, at Turakina, on the 24th December, 1894, stolen a mare and foal, value £7, the property of Ephraim Puckey. Since recovered. Offender is English, about twenty-two years of age, sft. Sin. high, slight build, fair complexion, light hair, none on face; dressed in a lighttweed coat and vest, black trousers, and soft black-felt hat. Frequents Maori pas.
