Appointments as Constables on Transfer from Permanent Militia. John Maclean, No. 536. Tudor Welby Balfour Boddam, No. 537. Henry Beattie, No. 538. Promotion. Second-class Detective Martin Grace, No. 73, to be firstclass detective. Reductions. First-class Detective James Joseph Tuoliy, No. 9, to be third-class detective. Third-class Sergeant William Lyons, No. 269, reduced three steps in the seniority list of his grade. Rewards. The sum of £2 has been awarded from the Reward Fund to Constable William Folley, Hokitika Police, in recognition of his skill and exertions in restoring an apparently drowned man named William Loehore.
