Stolen on the 28th or 29tli April last, from Drain Road, near Rangiora, a light - bay mare, broken to saddle and harness, four years old, 14 ; } hands high, well bred, rather leggy, a splint on inside of near foreleg! just below the knee, unbranded; the property of Richard Stark; value about £lO. Identifiable.

Kingswell is charged, on warrant issued by the Invercargill Bench, with the larceny as a bailee, about the 10th ultimo, at Winton, of about four hundred sheep; the property of William Robinson Perkins; value about £l5O. Description: A native of Tasmania, between fifty-five and sixty years of age, about sft. 9in. high, slight build, ruddy complexion, large hooked nose, prominent teeth, grey hair, clean-shaved, very gruff voice, speaks quickly, and has a very noticeable impediment in speech, leans forward when walking: generally wears brown-tweed suit, black soft-felt hat, and stand-up collar. He left Wellington on the 21st ultimo by the steamer “ Wakatipu ” for Sydney.

Stolen between the 21st and 28th March last, from a paddock at Rangitumau, near Masterton, two fat bullocks, one red Hereford breed with white face, the colour of the other is not known, both branded h- on near shoulder, and a round hole punched in near ear, and the ear is split from the hole to the edge ; the property of James Stuckey; value £5 each. Identifiable.

Stolen supposed on the night of the 23rd ultimo, from Penrose Farm, Taratahi, Carterton, eighty ewes in lamb, Lincoln breed, branded like g on rump, two notches in lower part of near ear and top off off-ear; the property of Perry Brothers ; value £3O. Identifiable. Two of the stolen ewes were found among Duncan McMaster’s stock at Tuhitarata on the 29th ultimo.

Stolen on the 30th or 31st ultimo, from a paddock at the Wellington and Manawatu Railway-station, Wellington, a light-draught grey gelding, aged, about 15 hands high, spotted about the mouth, one of knees cut, in good condition, one fore and one hind shoe only; the property of Aristodemo Frandi; value £2O. Identifiable.
