Information is requested respecting Charles Morris, a native of America, a coloured man, a cook and labourer, fifty-five years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, stout build, long features, short black beard whiskers and moustache, one of legs crooked. About six months ago ho was employed ns cook on a steamer carrying coal between Westport and Lyttelton. lie left his daughter, aged six years, with Alfred Brettis, of Seacliff, near Dunedin, about a year ago, and has not since then paid for her maintenance.

Information is requested respecting Lydia Thick, a domestic servant, thirty-eight years of age, short stout build, fair complexion, a slight cast in one of eyes. She left London on the 30tli April, 1874, by the ship “ Winchester” for Auckland, and has not since been heard of by her friends in England. She is entitled to money by the death of her aunt, Eliza Carpenter. Inquiry is made for her at the request of Thomas Milcham, 23 Candogo Road, Holloway, North London.

He left Liverpool on the 18th of April or May, 1859, by the ship “Red Jacket” for Melbourne, where he remained for about six months, and then came to the gold fields of this colony, and it is believed settled in the Bay of Plenty. When in Scotland he was employed as a farm servant, He was unmarried when he left Scotland, but if ho is or was married since then it is requested that the number of children, if any, by the issue, and their social position, may be ascertained.
