Deserters from Her Majesty’s Service.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “Miranda,” at Sydney, on the 7th, Bth, and 9th ultimo : Aaron Green, a stoker, a native of Stonehouse, England, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, pockpitted. John Colman, a stoker, a native of Devonport, England, twenty-six years of age, 5 feet 44 inches high, light-brown hair, blue eyes, ruddy complexion. John Bowden, private, Royal Marine Light Infantry, a native of Ilfracombe, England, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet inches high, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, swarthy complexion. John Pike, private, Royal Marine Light Infantry, a native of Totnes, England, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 8 inches high, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, fresh complexion, scar at outer angle of left eye and on inner side of right knee. George Deed, private, Royal Marine Light Infantry, a native of Exwick, England, twenty-one years of age, 5 feet 10J inches high, brown hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “'Wolverene,” at Sydney, between the 6th and 11th ultimo : Erancis Drake, able seaman, a native of Devonshire, twentyone years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark hair, grey eyes, ruddy complexion. Samuel Whitney, engineers’ servant, a native of London, nineteen years of age, 5 feet 10f inches high, light-red hair, brown eyes, fresh complexion, scar on calf of right leg. Henry Williams, able seaman, a native of Manchester, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, black hair, dark eyes and complexion, scar on left arm. Frederick South, able seaman, a native of Stratford, England, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark hair, hazel eyes, fresh complexion. James Watts, private, Royal Marines, a native of Kent, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 8* inches high, auburn hair, blue eyes, fair complexion ; supposed to have friends at Kaikoura, where he gave himself up to the police in April last. James Court, private, Royal Marines, a native of Monmouth, Wales, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 5£ inches high, darkbrown hair, blue eyes, sallow complexion. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest.

David Powell, charged with, deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Wolverene,” has been arrested by Senior-constable Thompson, Newcastle Police.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “ Cleopatra,” at Sydney, between the 16th and 22nd ultimo :

Robert H. Mulligan, ordinary seaman, a native of Dublin, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, light-red hair, brown eyes, fresh freckled complexion.

Samuel Beatty, oi’dinary seaman, natiro of Monaghan, Ireland, nineteen and a half years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark-brown hair, hazel eyes, ruddy complexion; “ True,” tattooed on left arm.

George Fisher, ordinary seaman, a native of West Wittering, Sussex, twenty years of age, 5 feet 4J inches high, dark hair, hazel eyes, fresh complexion; female on left arm, sailor on right arm.

George Henry Thomas, boy, first class, a native of Monmouth, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, sallow complexion. Frank Greenwood, boy, first class, a native of Marston, Yorkshire, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, brown hair, hazel eyes, fresh complexion. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.

George Heatit is charged with deserting from Her Majesty’s ship “ Wolverene,” at Sydney, on the 18th ultimo. Description : A native of Chelsea, England, boatswain’s mate, thirtyseven years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, light-brown hair, blue eyes, sallow complexion ; tattooed on back of hands, cross and bough of tree on right arm. A reward of £3 is offered for his arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.
