Deserters from Merchant Vessels.
(See Police Gazette , 1881, page 85.) The warrants issued for the arrest of Zachariah Fineham and Percy Strange, for deserting from tho ship “ Adamant,” at New Plymouth, have been cancelled.

John Christian, charged with deserting from the barque “ Clyde,” at Bluff Harbour, has been arrested by Sergeant Charles Rutledge, Campbelltown Police, and sentenced to twelve weeks’ labour.
