Missing Friends.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Thomas William Braggms, English, a carpenter, sixty-three years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, fair complexion, grey hair, bald on top of head, clean-shaved except a little hair under chin, clean respectable appearance; had been in the New Zealand Police Force. He 1 ft Wellington on the 23 d ultimo by the steamer “ Wakatipu ” for Sydney, accompanied by a Mrs. Isabella Lucas, about forty years of age, medium height, slight build, dark complexion, hair, and eves, dressy; and her three children, two girls aged twelve and eight years, and a boy five years old. Inquiry is made for him at the request of his wife.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Wallace Henry Barker, a native of London, a sheepfarmer, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, rather stout build, dark complexion, scar on back of head. He arrived in New Zealand about fourteen years ago. In March last he was heard of at the Coffee Palace Hotel, Sydney, where it is said he left for Tetnova Diggings, and thence to Mount Pool Diggings. Inqui-y is made for him at the instance of his brother, Edwin Barker, Wairau Yalley, Marlborough.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of John Murphy, a native of the colony, sixteen years of age, about 5 feet high, slight build, fresh complexion, blue eyes, full features, light-brown hair ; when last seen wore black-cloth jacket, light vest, dark-tweed trousers, black-felt hat, and watertight boots He was last seen picking potatoes in a field at Templeton, near the George and Dragon Hotel. He may have gone towards Timaru. Inquiry is made for him at the instance of his mother, who resides in Christchurch.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Alfred Gedeson, a labourer, about twenty-eight years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, stout build, dark complexion, grey eyes, black hair, brown whiskers, sometimes wears a goatee, low forehead, nose turned slightly to side. He left Woodside, West

Taieri, on the 26th October last, for Grampian Hills Station, Mackenzie Country. Inquiry is made for him at the request of Caroline Emma Watts, so that she may proceed against him for the support of his illegitimate child.

Information is requested respecting the whereabouts of Margaret Craig, Scotch, thirty-two years of age, 4 feet 11 inches high, fresh complexion, dark-brown hair, dark eyes, scar over left side of upper lip. (See Police Gazette, 1881, page 78.) She left Wellington on the 11th May last by the steamer “ Penguin ” for the South. Inquiry is made for her so that she may be proceeded against for the support of her two children in the Burnham Industrial School.
