Horse and Cattle Stealing.

The dark-brown gelding, the property of Gordon H. M. McClure, reported stolen from White Cliffs, has been recovered.
Supposed stolen on the 6th instant, from Addington, a brown mare, about 15 hands 3 inches high, square tail, near fore knee enlarged; the property of Montague Le win; value £2O. Identifiable.
Stolen during the night of the Ist instant, from a paddock nery Waeranga-ahika, Poverty Bay, a red-and-white heifer calf, three months old, well bred, unbranded ; the property of John McKenzie; value£s. Identifiable.

Hetikia Mutu, charged with stealing a heifer, the property of William F. Somerville and William S. H. Haig, has been arrested by Sergeant David McGuire, Hawke’s Bay Police, and committed for trial.
