Deserters from Her Majesty’s Service.

(See Police Gazette , 1881, page 118.) Amended description of deserters from Her Majesty’s ship “ Inconstant,” at Melbourne : Samuel Davies is twenty-one yeai’9 af age. William Woods is twenty-three years of age. George B. Cooper is twenty-one years of age. William D. Braughen is twenty-seven years of age. William Kelly is twenty-four years of age. George Norburn is eighteen years of age. Peter G. H. Williams is twenty-two years of age. Harry Blogg is eighteen years of age. Joseph Strarer is twenty-three years of age. James Morrison is twenty-nine years of of age.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “Inconstant,” at Melbourne, on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th instant: — Charles H. Peach, able seaman, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, brown bail’, hazel eyes, fresh complexion. Frank Coles, able seaman, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown hair, hazel eyes, fair complexion. David Gurney, ordinary seaman, twenty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown hair, grey eyes, pale complexion ; sailor, anchor, &e., on right arm, ship, sailor, and crossed flags on left arm.

Thomas Arnold, boy, first class, seventeen and a half years of age, 5 feet 1 inch high, light-brown hair and eyes, fair complexion. Henry Lyons, boy, first class, seventeen and a half years of age, 5 feet 2 inches high, light-brown hair, blue eyes, dark complexion, burn on side. John Hippisley, private, Royal Marine Light Infantry, twenty-two years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, light-brown hail’, blue eyes, fresh complexion, five spots on left hand. Charles Sellen, ordinary seaman, nineteen years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, brown hair and eyes, fair complexion, sear on right thigh. Henry Chappel, boy, first class, seventeen and a half years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, light-brown hair, dark-brown eyes, dark complexion, tattooed on left arm. John Anglin, gunner, Royal Marine Artillery, twenty-three years of age, 5 feet 7 k inches high, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, pale complexion. James Hart, ordinary seaman, second class, twenty years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark-brown hair and eyes, fresh complexion, spots tattooed on left arm.

William Baggs, armourer’s crew’, twenty-seven years of ag e 5 feet 9 inches high, black hair, grey eyes, dark complexion. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “Cleopatra,” at Melbourne, on the 3rd, 4t.h, and 6th instant: — James Williams, able seaman, native of Gravesend, Kent, twenty-one years of age, 4 feet 10£ inches high, light-brown hair, light-blue eyes, fresh complexion. Walter William Dunn, third-class signalman, native of Charles, Devon, eighteen and a half years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark-brown hair, grey eyes, fair complexion. Frederick Annison, ordinary seaman, native of Hackney, Middlesex, 5 feet 4 inches high, light hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion. Cornelius Mahoney, private, Royal Marine Light Infantry, native of Cork, twenty-five years of age, 5 feet 10 inches high, brown hair, grey eyes, fresh complexion. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.

Alfred Spooner, or Spencer, ordinary seaman, a native of Oldham, England, tw'enty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, darkbrown hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion. James Dow, ordinary seaman, native of Perth, twenty years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, brown hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion, dent on forehead. Abraham Autrobus, ordinary seaman, native of Chester, twenty years of age, 5 feet high, brown hair, hazel eyes, ruddy, complexion.

Thomas Herriman, ordinary seaman, native of Herefordshire, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark-brown hair, brown eyes, and dark complexion, cicatrix on left thumb, mole under chin.

Henry Ball, ordinary seaman, native of Bradford, England, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 2| inches high, brown hair, hazel eyes, fresh complexion; sailor tattooed on left arm, cross on right arm. John Scully, ordinary seaman, native of Queenstown, Cork, eighteen years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, dark-brown hair, blue eyes, fair complexion; bracelet on right wrist, XX, &c., on left wrist, dots on back of left hand.

James Richardson, ordinary seaman, a native of Surrey, nineteen years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, black hair, brown eyes, dark complexion. James Bessent, able seaman, native of Gosport, twenty-five years of age, 4 feet 11 inches high, sandy hair, blue eyes, fresh complexion. Jacob Hope, caulker, native of Truro, forty-one years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, bl ick hair, hazel eyes, dark complexion. William Perkins, ordinary seaman, native of London, nineteen years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, brown hair, dark-brown eyes, fresh complexion; anchor and part of cross on right arm, anchor and cable on left ai’m.

John Jupp, able seaman, native of Croydon, twenty-four years of age, 5 feet 3 inches high, brown hair and eyes, fresh complexion. John Harding, ward-room cook, native of Sheerness, twentythree years of age, 5 feet 7 inches high, black hair and moustache, hazel eyes, sallow complexion. Albert Pope, ordinary seaman, native of Devonport, twentytwo years of age, 5 feet, 6 inches high, reddish hair, red beard, hazel eyes, ruddy complexion. A reward of £1 is offered for the arrest of Jupp, and £3 each for the arrest of the others, in addition to £5 reward offered by the Colonial Government.

Deserted from Her Majesty’s ship “ Wolverene,” at Sydney, on the 6th and 7th instant:—

Daniel Thomas, ordinary seaman, a native of Wales, twentyone years of age, 5 feet 4j inches high, light-brown hair, blue eyes, fair complexion; DT on left arm. John Kerr, private R.M., a native of Scotland, twenty-seven years of age, 5 feet 6f inches high, light-brown hair, blue eyes, fair complexion. David Powell, private R.M., a native of Wales, twenty-three and a half years of age, 5 feet 7£ inches high, brown hair, darkbrown eyes, sallow complexion, fleshy part off top of second finger of right hand.

Harry Wilmot, able seaman, a native of London, twenty years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark hair and eyes, fresh complexion, scar on right knee. A reward of £3 each is offered for their arrest.
