RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run under the New Zealand Rules of Racing. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity, under a penalty of 2sovs. Owners are responsible for all penalties and allowances. Prior to any race, the Stewards may order a parade in front of the grandstand. The owner of any horse absent from such parade without the permission of the Stewards will be fined 2sovs. In all handicap races, except two-year-olds, where not otherwise stated, the minimum weight will be 7.0. Owners and trainers will only be admitted to the birdcage immediately before and directly after any race in which they have a horse engaged.
