ROYAL ALBERT HALL.
PATHE PICTURES. Despite the inclement weather large audiences attended the Royal Albert Hall each ,evening during the last week to witness the special holiday pictorial programme presented. On Wednesday evening an entirely new budget of pictures, containing a splendid and varied collection, was shown, and judging by the hearty applause, those present were well satisfied with the latest bill of fare. First and foremost amongst the high-class films is “Redman’s View,” a stirring dramatic, containing some highly interesting and' sensational situations. The picture is undoubtedly a fine piece of work and besides being very clear, is easy to follow. Next in importance is the beautifully coloured
animal study of the Zoo at Antwerp, and the pictures of the various animals being taken at close range a splendid view is obtained. It is certainly one of the most interesting and educating films yet shown at the Royal Albert, and that is saying a good deal. “The Little Urchin” tells a very pathetic story, while “The Love of a Match Girl” also a dramatic film is well appreciated. Besides a beautifully coloured series of scenic pictures, there are several very funny humorous films, amongst the best being, “Adventures of Tartarin,” “The Bridegroom’s Joke,” “Servant of an Actress,” and “Billy’s Wedding Day.” The same programme will be presented each evening, till Wednesday, when another series of pictures, entirely new to Auckland will take up the running.
