THE THAMES JOCKEY CLUB’S AUTUMN MEETING.

The autumn meeting of the Thames Jockey Club has been fixed to take place on Saturday, March 21. As will be seen from the programme appearing in this issue a very good bill-of-fare has been provided. This is made up of the Maiden Plate, of 25 sovs, 6 furlongs ; Hurdle Race of 40 sovs, if miles; Autumn Stakes, of 60 sovs, one mile; Shorts of 30 sovs, 4 furlongs; Steeplechase, of 60 sovs, 2| miles; Railway Handicap, of 35 sovs, 6 furlongs ; Hack Race, of 25 sovs, 5 furlongs ; Welter Handicap, of 30 sovs, 7 furlongs. Mr William H. Potts, the secretary, desires attention drawn to the fact that nominations for all events close on Friday, 6th March, at 8 p.m. As the meetings at the mining township are always well conducted, the fixture should be a very successful one.
