PAPAKURA RACING CLUB’S MEETING.
On Saturday next the Papakura Racing Club will hold their annual meeting on the old racecourse next G.enora Park. This fixture dates back a good many years, and many a pleasant gathering has taken place at the well-known trysting ground. In the event of fine weather the special train from Auckland will need to be a very long one to hold the crowd who will want to make the trip. Mr. F. Yonge, the secretary, has been actively at work completing preparations, and everything is being put in good trim for the event. The acceptances were not due to close until some time after we go to press, so cannot be given. Mr. F. W. Edwards’ handicaps are as follows: —
