A GREAT PACER
The last American mail brings news of the death of Angus Pointer, 2. if, the champion pacer of 1907. Angus Pointer was by Sidney Pointer, and during the past season was invincible one the Grand Circuit, after the meeting at Detroit, where he was defeated by Baron Grafton, this being his only defeat of the season. He was the winner of the fastest threeheat race by a gelding in 2.2% and
2.41. Held a matineee waggon record of 2.31. The world’s pacing record to waggon of 2.41, and the fas est threeheat race to waggon, 2.6 f,, 2.41, and 2. 6f. In the opinion of the race-going public, Angus Pointer was as game and consistent a racehorse as ever looked through a bridle.
