FEILDING.
January 18. Small Party. Mrs. Long asked a. few people to meet her sister, Mrs. Ford, from Auckland, on Friday last. Among the guests I noticed : Mrs. Barton, Mrs. Millar, Mrs. Hill, Mrs. Halliday, Mrs. Walker, Miss Taylor (Auckland), Mrs. Gillespie, Miss McFarlane (Auckland). Palmerston Races. A few Feilding folk went over to Palmerston for the races, among the crowd I managed to see: Mr. and Mrs. Clayton, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. Lawson, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Haggitt, Mr. and Mrs. Halliday, Mr. and .Mrs. Fry, Mr. and Mrs. A. Fitz Herbert. Marton Races. At the Marton races I noticed the following Feilding people: Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Haggitt, Mr. and Mrs. Burnett, Mr. and Mrs. Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. Halliday, Mr. and Mrs. Roberts, Mr. and Mrs. W. Shannon, Mr. and Mrs. W. Bailey, Mr. and Mrs. Clayton.
Personal. Dr. McAllum and Mr. Alymer have gone to Rotorua for the trout fishing. Mrs. Ford (Auckland) is staying with her sister, Mrs. Long. Mr. and Mrs. Perry are in Wellington for a few days, staying at the Empire Hotel. Miss Taylor and Miss McFarlane (Auckland) are the guests of Mrs. E. Barton.
Miss Insoll (Hamilton), who has been staying W'ith Mrs, Barton for the last four months, has returned. Miss West is the guest of her sister Mrs. Gillespie. The Rev. Innes Jones has gone to Nelson to attend the general synod. Mrs. and Miss Wheeler, who have been to Hawke’s Bay, have returned.
