June 29th. At the Town Hall. Biascheek gave a one-night season at the Town Hall this week. In the audience I noticed Mrs L. Nair, Mrs Wallace, Mr and Mrs Gurr, Mrs Bunny. Miss Phillips, Mr and Mrs Lawson, Mrs and Miss IL Knight, Mr and Miss Edkins, Miss Hunt, Mr and Mrs McClure, Mr and Mrs R. Macdonald, Mrs Harker, Miss K. Buckhurst, Miss Riley, Miss Caulton, Messrs Russell. Hewett, Blythe. E. Knight, H. Smith. Bazaar. The energetic members of the Rangatira Croquet Club held a most successful little bazaar in the Concert Room of the Town Hall, on Friday afternoon and evening. In spite of a wet day, the stallholders -were kept very busy attending to the wants of numerous buyers, and the club should have a substantial addition to its funds. Leathern (New Plymouth), who has been spending a fortnight with her sister, Mrs P. Prichard, returned home on Saturday. Mr and Mrs W. F. Knight have been spending a few days in NapierMrs and Miss Pettit returned on Monday from a two months’ visit to Sydney. Mrs Gordon Lloyd is in Palmerston for the winter show.
