Other Functions. There were several other small functions of a private nature during race week, among them being a jolly little house-warming party, given by Mr. and Mrs. Circuitt, who, in their new and unique home, made a very genial and charming host and hostess. A few friends responded to an invitation to “Flaxmere,” on Friday night, where a jolly evening of dancing was spent. Personal. Mrs. Fisher (Wellington) is staying with Mrs. H. Campbell, at Havelock North. Mrs. and Miss Morrah (Palmerston North) have been visiting Hastings. Miss Morrah was a debutante at the Hnnt Club ball. Mr. and Mrs., and Miss Johnston are visiting Hastings. Mrs. Scott is better, and able to be about again.
