March 25. A Concert. The Town Hall was well filled on Saturday, when Miss Amy Castles gave her concert, the audience being most enthusiastic. Farewell Social. A farewell social was tendered to Mr. Hemmingway (for many years town clerk) on Thursday, the Town Hall being crowded. A good imusicall programme "teas gone through, the Orchestral Society playing some .good selections. Songs were contributed by Mrs. Mail, Mrs. E. €’. Robinson, Misses Wilson. Butter and Bangster. Dr. Carbery, and Messrs. W. Robinson, Lewis, Wilson and Twiss; Mr. Wilkie recited. Mr. Hemmingway was presented with a handsome illuminated address, and Mrs. Hemmingway received a silver tea-set. Wake 12; Smart 14, v. gangster, 20; Smart 19, v. Spence 15; G. Songster, winner of B section; Currie winner of A. section. They now have to play off for the Curtis trophy.
