NAPIER.
March 5. Children's Party. A very enjoyable children’s party was given by Mrs. Morgan, Bluff Hill, in honour of her little daughter’s birthday last week in the Bluff Hill Schoolroom. Most of the children wore fancy costumes, and the hall, which was gaily decorated with flags and greenery presented a very pretty scene. During the evening Mr. Morley and Mr. Cecil Corn ford added to the children’s enjoyment by a fireworks’ display. Amongst the little girls were: Misses Esme Morgan, as Spring; Kathleen Bradley, Flower Girl; Madge Newton, Summer; Nancy Snodgrass, Puritan Maid; Mollie Snodgrass, Nurse; Hiema Williams, Folly; Nancy Swan, Japanese Lady; Thelma McCarthy, Japanese Lady; Erena Besant, Cherry Ripe; Roysie Brabant, Bo Peep; Kitty Brabant, Gilda and Alma Sandtraan; Mazine Edgar, Fairy; Olive and Nida Baxter, Isabel McLernon, Elsa Loudoun, Rita Chapman; Nancie Fannin, Queen of Hearts; Kathleen Fannin, Kate Greenaway; Elspeth and Doreen Canning, Maida Tomlinson. Amongst the little boys were: Masters Felix Loudoun, Courtier; McCarthy, Lord Nelson; Philbric Nelson, Red Indian; Quensen Nelson, Cupid; Melvie Cato, Cupid; Pat Crawshaw, Cowboy; Prior Williams, West Shore; Swisburn Kelly, Sailor; —. Bruce, Hector Chapman; Arthur Rodie, Cricketer; Ivan McCarthy, Footballer. Other fancy dresses were: Mrs. Morgan, Spanish Dancing Girl; Miss Adcock, Nurse; Miss Peacock, Nurse. Other ladies present were: Mesdames McCarthy, Edgar, Bowen, Baxter, Sandtman, Newton. Fannin. Bradley. 11. Cato, A. Brown, Williams. Tomlinson. McLernon, Misses Palmer. May Williams, McVay, Brown, Ruby Brown, Bowen, Sandtman, Norma Sandtman. Personal. Two English lady tourists (Misses Barker and Lowis) were in Napier last week, on their trip round the world. They left at the end of the week for Wellington, en route to the South Sea Islands. Mrs. Monekton. of Gisborne, is spending a holidav in Nanier.
