The Poverty Bay Turf dub races were numerously patronised on both days, Thursday and Friday, and tha gay colours in dresses and sunshades gave a very picturesque appearance on the lawns. Dr. Collins returned on Wednesday from the South. Mr. and Mrs. S. Williamson arrived from the South last Wednesday. Mr. John Clark returned from an extended trip to Sydney, via Auckland, on Wednesday. Colonel Porter left Gisborne on Wednesday night for Wellington. Miss Pollen (Wellington), is at present the guest of Mrs. Reynolds, ‘’Sandown.- ’
