December 10. A Successful Concert. The Wanganui Choral Society had a most successful concert in the Opera House on Thursday evening. There was a large and appreciative audience. Amongst those I noticed were: —Mrs. H. There were a fair number at the tennis courts on Saturday afternoon. Tea was provided by Mr. and Miss Wilford. At the Wanganui Girls’ College on Tuesday night the Prefects acted a most enjoyable little play entitled “Ici on Parle Francais.” The acting reflected the greatest credit on the performers. Dr. and Mrs. Skerinain, of Marton, have been staying in Wanganui for a few days. Miss May' Langard, of Wellington, is staying in Wanganui with Mrs. Pattie Izett.

Mrs. John Watt, of Wanganui, has returned from her visit to Mrs. Ma.rsax.-k in Auckland. Miss Irelle Jones, of Wellington, has been staying in Wanganui with relations. Mrs. Laey Peake., of who has been staying in Wanganui with Mrs. H. Peake, has returned to her home.

Miss Humphrys, of Palmerston North, who has been visiting friends in Wanganui, has returned to Palmerston. Mr. C. Hutton, of Wanganui, is staying in Nelson with friends. Mr. and Mrs. Babbage, of Wanganui, have returned from a visit to friends in Hawera and New Plymouth.
